I am a costume designer and Hair and Makeup technician living on the beautiful but remote Haida Gwaii. I received an MFA in Production Design at Ohio University. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso with a BA in Theater Tech specializing in Costume Design and a minor in English and American Literature. Originally an English Literature major, I switched to Theatre Tech after I took a costume history class. I have been sewing since I was a child and I found I loved costumes and that I wanted to learn more. After that I started practicum in the costume shop and applied for a position in the shop for the following semester. I have been working with costumes ever since. I'm passionate about creating detailed and beautiful costumes appropriate to whatever the show needs. I'm convinced that a beautiful costume is one that is exactly what it needs to be, not necessarily the prettiest costume.
